Lyon’s last day

During my trip back to France, I have been invited by Francois, a french friend I had met in Finland, for a get together in Lyon with a couple of friend from all over Europe that I had met in Finland.
There was Miguel, Danel from Spain and Basque country. There was also Diego and Elena both from Italy and finally there was Francois, Stephane and I from France. One beautiful blend of people!!
We’ve been hanging around in Lyon and it’s been really great!
Today, sunday, 2 people have left already and we can feel that the week end is touching its end!
All I could tell is that I really enjoyed this warm feeling of meeting good old friends!! It has been too short and certainly too fast! Elena and Stephane have left so quickly that I barely had the time to gather my mind to give them a proper farewell!

We surely will meet again but only time can tell when and it probably won’t be so soon taking into account the distance that separate all of us…

One thing happened today… Which could have ternished a bit this end of week end but yet, ended rather well… We went to restaurant with my friend and there was this beautiful girl eating there all alone… We could have assumed that she was a tourist tourist the region and degusting some typical french food. I had for intention to talk to her and perhaps share a moment altogether around a beer.
To that purpose, I asked for a pen and wrote a note… I did not want to go talk to her as she seemed to be looking for peace and would probably not have appreciated to be disturbed… So I wrote the note and called the waiter in order to pass it to her… To which he very rudly refused without much more consideration : “NO”. He just walked off… … And the girl left on the same minute leaving me powerless…
I was quite disapointed but and mostly upset towards the waiter… Why did he refuse and most importantly, why in such a rude way?
Refusing is fine, but at least you give an explanation and you don’t treat your client like a fool!!! I refrain myself on the moment but when time came to pay, I went to the counter with my credit card and cleared the bill… And at that moment I made sure that they remembered me by telling them what I really think of their behaviour… Respect is one thing I can never give in on! So they know!

After that things were back to normal and we all went to this irish pub have a beer…
We ordered and watch football! Everything was all cool… Then we noticed that the bar was kinda collection bank notes and putting it on the wall….
So I went to the counted and asked him, he noded so I proposed to give him Malaysian Ringgets notes… Sure he accepted … And he proposed me a pint of beer against it…

So I got a pint of beer worth 5.5 euros for 1 note of RM1 and another note of Dirham 5…
Worth it or not??

;)
That gave me back a good mood!!!

Ok enough for tonight!
